When I used to be at high school, the teachers kept reminding me when our work had to be done. I didn’t have to remember it by myself. - Morga

In the first week of lectures I go through the Week One Document with the students but I also have this expectation that they will go to the Blackboard site for themselves and view the document. Get a feel for the course; check the various assessment items and their due dates. When I am organised like this, I’m of the view that students can manage their own time. - Leslie
Students need to know the difference between formative and summative assessment, whether a task is helping their learning or measuring their progress, or both. - Beata
