A University Diploma is generally equivalent to the first year of the relevant Bachelor Degree program, and is designed for students who have completed senior high school but may not quite meet the academic and/or English entry requirements for a university degree program. The University Diploma courses are two-semester programs; each semester consists of 13 weeks of classes and an examination period. The University Diploma programs have three new intakes every year. QUT International College offers the following diploma programs:
In these courses you will study six first year (core) degree units, as well as two communication units which have been designed to support students’ study in the degree units. On satisfactory completion of your course requirements, you will be awarded a University Diploma.
University Diploma in Business AND University Diploma in Information TechnologyIf you successfully complete the University Diploma in Business or Information Technology with the faculty required Grade Point Average (GPA), you will articulate to the second year of your related degree, as listed below:
University Diploma in Creative IndustriesStudents who successfully complete the University Diploma of Creative Industries and meet the course Grade Point Average (GPA) will receive one year’s advanced standing in one of the available bachelor programs from the Creative Industries Faculty. 96 credit points of advanced standing with 4 semesters to complete: (GPA of at least 4.0) (GPA of at least 4.5)
96 credit points of advanced standing with 5 semesters to complete: (GPA of at least 4.5)
96 credit points of advanced standing with 6 semesters to complete: (GPA of at least 4.5)
