TEST FORMAT
There are two modules to choose from: Academic and General Training. Academic Module is usually used for candidates wishing to study undergraduate or postgraduate studies, as well as for professional recognition.
General Training Module is usually used for candidates wishing to migrate to an English speaking country and for those wishing to train or study below a degree level.
IELTS test centres are unable to advise candidates which test they need to take. Candidates must check which module to take with the organisation or institution requesting the test prior to applying. Candidates sit the same Listening and Speaking tests but sit different Reading And Writing tests so it is essential candidates are enrolled in the right module.
We strongly recommend that candidates prepare properly for the test before applying again to ensure a better chance for an improved score and obtaining the desired score. Understanding the expectations and requirements of the test will provide more chance of successfully obtaining the desired results in all modules. At the QUT IELTS test centre candidates are able to purchase the Official IELTS practice materials. The centre offers both Volume 1 & 2. Please click on the link to find out more about the practice materials and other practice avenues. To apply, please click here
