I love the lecturers; they're great to get along with. The College facilities are great with the Internet access and the vending machines. Studying here at the College is helping me become acquainted with the Australian environment. With all the different students here you can learn about and enjoy other cultures.

I've enjoyed the cultural exchange between students. Even though English is my first language I have been able to sharpen my language skills and learn more about the use of language. I believe the College aptly prepared me for joining one of the faculties. It really helps that the College is located on the University campus unlike other colleges in Australia.

Studying at QUTIC was a fabulous experience. The course materials were well designed which helped me to prepare and adapt for my university studies with minimal difficulties. My English improved quickly as the teachers were skillful and patient when communicating with non-English speaking students. The teachers were also very friendly and made students feel comfortable to ask questions. Studying at QUTIC is a good choice for international students wanting to succeed.

During my studies at QUT International College I met many interesting people from different nationalities from all over the world. I was also able to create a network of friends that also studied IT. This was useful as we studied and helped each other as a group for the rest of our degree. And the staff were very friendly.

I came to QUTIC as a mature student, with my husband. We knew nothing about IT but the lecturers and staff were extremely helpful and supportive throughout our diplomas, enabling us to pass with good grades. Despite there being quite an age difference between ourselves and other students, I felt that because the classes were generally smaller than those held in the University, it was easier to make friends with students of all ages. I also found that the friendships formed have continued as everyone helps each other through the degree. Attending QUTIC has definitely been a highlight of our study experience so far.

I am convinced that I made the best choice in going to the International College as it has thoroughly prepared me for my undergraduate course in Journalism. Another advantage of the College is that we can make friends from different cultures, making the college a very pleasant place to study.

Since I started studying International Business I have realised how important it is to have excellent English skills. I found the Communication for Business subjects very helpful for writing proposals and giving presentations in English as well as drafting and analysing marketing surveys. I have learned the different styles of writing assignments in Australian universities and the Communication teachers gave helpful information on methods of research and study. In group discussions and projects it was good to get the thoughts and perspectives of students from many other countries and cultures.

The Foundation Program helped me settle into the Australian way of life. It helped me in so many academic ways. I think that, without the Foundation Program, I would not have survived the first year at University. What I liked about the program was the small class size because I got to interact with other students. I also liked the attitude of our tutors because they had a genuine concern for all students to do well and when we needed something explained again we got the attention. |

Communication and computing units helped me write better papers in my degree program. Other units gave me a clearer understanding of material taught in my degree. The individual attention given to students in the Foundation Programs was wonderful, as was getting to know so many people from so many different places.

Currently: Master of Arts (International Business) Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. My Foundation course gave me all the important skills, eg. computing, maths, accounting, communication, law - skills that have given me confidence to do all my university tasks, knowing that I have a good base for my university subjects.
When I actually got to uni, I had fewer difficulties than those who did well in high school but hadn't been in a Foundation program. In short, QUT's Foundation Program provides preparation for the whole university program in just a year! The teachers were GREAT (I say it from the heart), they were patient, understanding and achievement-oriented. Students' successes are their successes as well. |

I chose to study at QUT International College because in doing the University Diploma course it gave me a strong basis on which to build my future University education. It also provided me with a great opportunity to socialise in relaxed environment with other international students from various nations. All the staff at the College were very professional. Their help and assistance throughout my studies were of great assistance in achieving my goals. |
