Welfare Support

QUT recognises that international students may face additional challenges to those that domestic university students have to cope with. In addition to making choices about their studies they must learn to live in a different culture and society, often far from family and friends.

To help with the adjustment, Helen Jones, Student Welfare Adviser, provides counselling and support to QUT International College students through the provision of organised workshops and activities. Helen also advises students on an individual basis. Helen welcomes visits from students whether for specific help or just for a chat.
